Where do I pick up the vehicle? +
Pickup is at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), at an agreed location near the terminal. The vehicle is staged in a permitted CLT parking facility — Daily Deck, Express Deck, or Hourly Deck — as confirmed in your reservation. You will receive the exact deck, level, and space number prior to arrival.
Is pickup available around the clock? +
Yes. We offer 24/7 pickup and return at CLT. If you are arriving late at night, please notify us so we can stage the vehicle and have access instructions ready in advance.
How does CLT Airport pickup work? +
The vehicle is located in a CLT parking deck. Daily East and West Decks are walkable from the terminal via covered walkways in approximately 5 to 10 minutes. The Express Deck offers a dedicated shuttle from Zone 2 at baggage claim. The Hourly Deck is the closest to the terminal. You will receive the exact location, deck level, and space number before your arrival. Enter the deck, locate the vehicle, and retrieve the physical key from the secure lockbox using the code sent to you.
What is required to rent? +
You will need a valid driver's license, proof of valid personal auto insurance meeting our minimum coverage requirements, and a credit card in the primary driver's name to keep on file. The primary renter must be at least 25. An additional driver added to the rental must be at least 21. There is no young driver surcharge and no additional driver fee. A minimum rental period of two consecutive days applies to all bookings.
Is insurance included? +
Insurance is not included in your rate, and valid personal auto insurance is required. Minimum coverage is $50,000 bodily injury per person, $100,000 per accident, and $50,000 property damage, plus uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and collision and comprehensive coverage. We verify your coverage before your rental begins. If your policy does not meet these requirements, you will need to purchase coverage through a third-party insurance provider we make available as a condition of the rental. Is there a security deposit? +
No security deposit or preauthorization hold is required. With your consent, a payment card is securely stored on file. Under your signed rental agreement, Prince Auto Group may charge documented eligible post-rental amounts to the card on file, up to $500. Eligible charges include unpaid rental fees, late fees, mileage overage, fuel, cleaning or pet fees, and tolls or citations processed after return. An itemized receipt is provided for any post-rental charge. How many miles are included? +
250 miles per rental day are included in the base rate, prorated across the full rental period — a 3-day rental includes 750 miles. Miles driven beyond the allowance are charged at $0.30 per mile.
Can someone else drive? +
Yes, and there is no additional driver fee. Additional drivers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver's license in their own name, and meet the same verification requirements as the primary renter. They must be listed and approved in writing before pickup. Please provide their name, license details, and age when confirming your reservation. Anyone not listed and approved may not operate the vehicle — doing so voids all coverage.
What is the fuel policy? +
We use a full-to-full fuel policy. Vehicles are provided with a full tank and the starting level is documented at pickup. If the vehicle is returned below that level, you are charged $8.00 per gallon for the fuel needed to restore it. No separate refueling service fee applies. We recommend keeping your fuel receipt if you refill within approximately 10 miles of the return location.
What happens if my flight is delayed? +
We provide a grace period for airport pickups and will make every effort to accommodate late arrivals due to flight delays. Please call or text us as soon as you know your new estimated arrival time so we can adjust vehicle staging and hold arrangements accordingly.
What is the cancellation policy? +
Cancellations made more than 7 days before your scheduled start time receive a 100% refund. Cancellations 48 hours to 7 days before start time receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 48 hours before start time are non-refundable, as are no-shows. You may modify your reservation dates at no charge if you request it at least 48 hours before your start time. Are pets allowed? +
Yes, pets are welcome with prior disclosure at booking. Pets must be secured in an appropriate carrier or restraint while the vehicle is in motion. A pet-cleaning fee of $150 applies to any rental involving a pet. Legally recognized service and assistance animals are exempt from this fee.
Is smoking allowed? +
No. All vehicles are strictly non-smoking. This includes cigarettes, cigars, and vaping. A cleaning and deodorization fee will be charged if smoke or vape residue is found upon return.
What happens during a breakdown or emergency? +
Roadside assistance is available. In the event of a breakdown, accident, or emergency, call or text our support line immediately. Do not attempt unauthorized repairs. We will coordinate next steps including towing or vehicle exchange and document the incident appropriately.
